I am very proud to announce the release of TrueLicense version 2.4! If you care about details, there is the usual Release Notes generated from the issue tracker. However, there is a bigger story behind the pesky details and it deserves to be told in this blog posting.
This is a maintenance release for both TrueVFS and TrueZIP which fixes some major bugs, so please update your dependencies. Please accept my apologies if you have been affected by any of these bugs.
I am pleased to announce the release of TrueVFS 0.10. This release incorporates important bug fixes, (performance) improvements and new features, so updating is highly recommended.
TrueZIP 7.7 has been released. This is mostly a maintenance release which fixes bugs and improves documentation. As of now, TrueZIP is entering maintenance mode, that is, it should only receive maintenance updates while new features should go into its successor, TrueVFS. An update to TrueVFS should get released in due time.
I am very pleased to announce the double release of TrueVFS 0.9.1 and TrueZIP 7.6.4. This is the first release of TrueVFS, which is the successor of TrueZIP. TrueVFS provides a significantly improved architecture which will serve as a robust and extensible platform for building future releases. Some new features have already been implemented, and a lot more will follow before the release of version 1.0.
TrueZIP 7.6 has been released. This is a feature release. As usual, binary backwards compatibility of the client APIs with TrueZIP 7.0 has been retained, so please don’t hesitate to upgrade your dependencies. If you have been coding a TrueZIP Driver however, you need to recompile because this version incorporates considerable changes to the Kernel API which were required to achieve some important improvements.
TrueZIP 7.5.5 has been released. This is a maintenance release. As usual, binary backwards compatibility of the client APIs with TrueZIP 7.0 has been retained, so please don’t hesitate to upgrade your dependencies.
TrueZIP 7.5.4 has been released to fix a critical regression bug in TrueZIP 7.5.3 that has somehow passed the test suite. Please skip TrueZIP 7.5.3 altogether and update to TrueZIP 7.5.4 instead! Please accept my apologies for any inconveniences this may have caused.
Edit: This release is doomed – please skip it and update to TrueZIP 7.5.4 instead!
TrueZIP 7.5.3 has been released. This is a bug fix release. Updating is recommended to everybody.
TrueZIP 7.5.2 has been released. This version updates the dependency on commons-compress to version 1.4, which significantly improves reading and writing of TAR files. It also fixes authentication of WinZip AES files (see below) and a number of multithreading bugs in the TrueZIP Kernel when accessing nested archive files.
